BDSM people face such horrible persecution. I mean you might get a goofy look if master walks you down the street on your collar and leash. Or you might get goofy looks if you kneel at masters feet when you're with your family. And this is all exactly the same as having someone beat and torture you because you are black. Or someone firebombing your house or worship because it's a muslim one. Or living in a gay friendly district of town and having people come from outside your area and beating the crap out of you because you are gay.

You know, there are a lot of people in bdsm that are addicted to it. There was a time in my life where I only hung out with bdsm friends. I went to all the groups. The only activities I did were bdsm ones. I wanted bdsm in my relationships 27/4. That also wasn’t a very healthy time in my life. I was an addict. I think lots of people in the bdsm scene just don’t see it. Why? Because they have surrounded themselves with other addicts. It’s kinda like being an alcoholic and surrounding yourself with other alcoholics. Sure your friends will tell you that you are just fine, but their perspective is as skewed as yours. So you take that 10th or 11th drink and something inside you makes you ask a fellow drunk if this is right. They say sure. Naturally they will ay sure since they are as hooked on the high as you are. The same goes with bdsm. NATURALLY you’ll have people saying that living every single moment of your life around your kink is ok since they are as hooked on the high as you are.

So I figured out how I can do whatever the hell I want, act as much of an asshole as I want, be as much as a social misfit as I want and still be able to get away with it in the bdsm scene. All I have to do is say it’s my fetish. And if someone judges me on my actions I can just say “YOU’RE INVALIDATING MY FETISH” And I can follow it up with a few rounds of “you’re just being judgmental, we aren’t supposed to be judgmental of other people’s fetishes in bdsm”

Artist hops 12 hours in desert after chaining feet, losing key

BAKER, Calif. - An artist who chained his legs together to draw a picture of the image hopped 12 hours through the desert after realizing he lost the key and couldn't unlock the restraints, authorities said Wednesday.
Trevor Corneliusien, 26, tightly wrapped and locked a long, thick chain around his bare ankles Tuesday while camping in an abandoned mine shaft about 5 miles north of Baker, San Bernardino County sheriff's Deputy Ryan Ford said.
The Baker-area artist often sketched images inside mines in the Southwest.
When he finished his chain drawing, he realized he would have to seek help in Baker, the deputy said.
"It took him over 12 hours because he had to hop through boulders and sand," Ford said. "He did put on his shoes before hopping."
Corneliusien finally made it to a gas station on the edge of Baker. He called the Sheriff's Department, which sent paramedics and deputies with bolt cutters.
Corneliusien's legs were bruised, but he was otherwise in good health, Ford said. The artist did not have a listed phone number and could not be reached for comment.
And the drawing?
"He brought it down with him," Ford said. "It was a pretty good depiction of how a chain would look wrapped around your legs."
